C.S. Lewis was comfortable when he started his teaching post at Oxford University, confident in his beliefs about God.

But when Joy Davidman, an American poet and fan of his work, and her young son enter his life, his theoretical understanding of love and heartache is challenged and he finds the reality to be much harder to accept.

Starring Stephen Boxer (Humans, The Iron Lady, Doctors) as C.S. Lewis, Amanda Ryan (The Forsyte Saga) and Dennis Lill (Only Fools And Horses and The Royal),this West End and Broadway hit is the love story of C.S. Lewis – Oxford don and celebrated author ofThe Chronicles Of Narnia and The Screwtape Letters, and American poet Joy Davidman.

The stage adaptation follows on from the original TV drama and later multi award-winning film of the same name, directed by Richard Attenborough and starring Anthony Hopkins.

This visually stunning and powerful production tackles universal questions of belief and love through the personal experiences of one of the country’s most well-known writers.
