A 'UK Disneyland' theme park is set to open in Dartford, Kent in the next 5 years.

Estimated to cost £3.5 billion, the Paramount park - the company behind such films as the Transformers series and Titantic - will open in 2022 if plans submitted by London Resort Company Holdings are approved.

Due to be the first of its kind in the UK, the new theme park is set to feature more than 50 rides and attractions, as well as 2,000-seat theatre. The park will contain zones such as Adventure Isle, Land of Legends, Cartoon Circus, Starfleet Command, Action Square, Port Paramount and Entertainment City.

A full-price day ticket is expected to cost customers £57 each.
