B:Music, the Birmingham music charity responsible for Symphony Hall and Town Hall, has launched its new summer programme for 2024 which includes comedy, live music, dance and spoken word on its two world-famous stages.

The new season showcases an array of performances at Town Hall and Symphony Hall. From the hugely talented Dionne Warwick to Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones, May sees a varied and exciting programme. There is plenty more live music to choose from, with Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro, and Shalamar- one of the world’s most successful soul acts- gracing the Symphony Hall stage in June. And July sees Berlin-based pianist, composer and producer Nils Frahm defining the space between classical and electronic music, as well as Cirque, a night like no other, where the very best of musical theatre showstoppers meets jaw-dropping circus spectacular.

Dazzled by dance? Join a dozen of the world’s best professional dancers as they hit the Symphony Hall stage with Strictly The Professionals (2 to 3 May). This exhilarating show will showcase the exceptional talent of 12 of Strictly’s beloved professional dancers, supported by incredible singers and a live band, all performed within the wonderful world of glamour and sparkle that fans know and love from the smash hit series. If you can’t get enough Strictly Come Dancing, then Nadiya and Kai invite you into their world; go behind the scenes and witness how the magic comes together in their brand-new show Behind the Magic (24 June). Nadiya, Kai and their talented cast will highlight the influence of some of the 20th century’s greatest legends, creatives, and artists alike, whose lasting impact is still felt today. Expect fabulous outfits, wonderful music and of course, sensational dancing! And the nation’s favourite double act, Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice, are back with their brand-new live tour Together (12 July). Strictly’s Anton and Giovanni will bring you more fun, more dance, more song, and even more entertainment. The show promises to be a mesmerising experience for all ages, showcasing the duo’s incredible talents and irresistible chemistry on stage.

Crazy for comedy? B:Music is providing the laughs this Summer with a plethora of comedy A-listers to choose from. Stand-up stars including Tom Davis: Underdog (11 May), Punt and Dennis: We Are Not A Robot (12 June), Clinton Baptiste: Roller Ghoster (14 June), and Troy Hawke: The Greeters Guild (29 June) will take to the Town Hall stage for the ultimate feelgood night out.

Love live music? Join Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones as he opens his solo UK tour with three gigs at Town Hall, performing every track from his upcoming album, Inevitable Incredible. The album sees Jones writing primarily on the piano for the first time, and the songs have been described as some of his most emotional and brutally honest material to date (4-5 May). B:Music is delighted to host An Evening with Richard Marx as he plays hits from his 40+ year career, featuring fan favourites, new songs, and a few special surprises at Symphony Hall (19 May). Join The Notebenders as they return to Town Hall for a special 20th anniversary concert, joined by some of their renowned alumni, leaders past and present, and future stars, to play music that has inspired them over the last 20 years. Guest artists include Gary Crosby, Soweto Kinch and Romarna Campbell (22 June). And step into the timeless world of Gerry Anderson’s TV shows in a brand-new 2024 celebration as a full orchestra brings iconic theme tunes and music to life. In this one-off concert exclusive to Symphony Hall, hosted by Jon Culshaw and Genevieve Gaunt, Stand By For Action! 2 gives audience members the chance to feel the pulse of Thunderbirds, the mysterious allure of Stingray, and the futuristic vibes of Space:1999 (13 July).

Looking for family fun? Brand new for 2024, The Lion Inside comes to Town Hall. This joyous new stage adaptation of the heart-warming tale about confidence, self-esteem, and a shy little mouse who sets out on a journey to find his roar features puppetry, music, and song (25-26 May). Or bring the whole family to Symphony Hall to experience Disney in Concert: The Sound of Magic, a symphonic celebration which will see the renowned Novello Orchestra bring to life the soundtracks and characters from the Walt Disney Animation Studios. This newly imagined concert takes audiences on a magic carpet ride through the most memorable song, score, and movie moments of The Walt Disney Company, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana, Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin, The Jungle Book, Frozen, The Lion King, Fantasia, Encanto, Beauty and the Beast, and more (11 June).

Whether you're a devoted cricket fan eager for insider stories or just looking for a fun evening out, don't miss your chance to catch these two stars live in action. And join us for an unforgettable evening of natural wonder on the big screen with Wild Isles Live at Town Hall (17 May). Documentary producer Alastair Fothergill takes audiences on a captivating journey through the British Isles' most curious and breathtaking landscapes - from golden eagles on the Highlands’ coasts to the weird and wonderful world of our woodland undergrowth - followed by a live Q&A.

Other highlights of the Summer 2024 season include Dionne Warwick live on the Symphony Hall stage, recalling her fascinating life story in her own words, with live performances of her many hits from one of the most successful music careers of our times (11 May). The Czech National Symphony Orchestra closes the B:Classical 2023/24 season at Symphony Hall with a concert of symphonic blockbusters (21 May). And The Zombies celebrate 60 years of their remarkable and influential recording career with a concert at Town Hall. Audiences can expect plenty of surprises on the night for another first of its kind show for this iconic band (28 May).
