To celebrate the release of his fifth studio album Joe McElderry will embark on a nationwide live tour named The Gloria Tour, coming to the Victoria Hall, Wednesday 16 August.

Joe McElderry is the X Factor golden boy with the 24-carat voice and the diamond personality, which has made him one of the most loved young singers in the country. Since storming to victory in the 2009 X Factor final, Joe has been the sweet-singing hero and heartthrob of hundreds of thousands of fans aged from five to 95.

After wowing the audience with his dazzling vocals, modesty and charm, he soared straight to number one both in the UK and Irish Singles Charts with a beautiful rendition of Miley Cyrus’ The Climb. Soon after came his first studio album Wide Awake under the Syco/Sony Entertainment record label, an exciting mix of up-tempo songs and the powerful ballads which Joe has become famous for.

Following this Joe embarked on a second album, numerous charity and TV work. 2016 was an exciting change of direction for Joe. He was asked by Bill Kenwright to play Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat on the UK tour from February to July. In August he then went on to do his own Northern Light Tour including Christmas shows until the end of November, then straight into Panto for Qdos again in Wolverhampton until Jan 2017.

Joe was asked if he would play the lead in Joseph again, by Bill Kenwright, but this time for the 50th Anniversary tour of the UK, which opened on 24 January and is still on tour until June 2017. He is hugely excited to go straight onto the Gloria Tour, and promote his new album Saturday Night at the Movies from July 2017.

Joe will be joined on stage by special guests, X Factor’s Lloyd Daniels and Any Dream Will Do runners up Keith Jack and Ben James-Ellis who have all featured in the musical phenomenon Bill Kenwright’s production of Joseph and the Technicolor® Dreamcoat.

Number 1 and platinum selling artist Joe has already released four top 20 albums, two of which reached the UK top three.  His debut single The Climb went to the top of the charts and was nominated for the Best British Single BRIT award in 2010.
