This is the only chance for the British riders to shine on home soil, and they were dominant last year. But the established order could well be ruffled up in 2016, with former MotoGP Champion, the tenacious Nicky Hayden joining the field with Honda. Another new name is that of Josh Brookes, the hard charging Australian who dominated the British Superbike Championship last year. Both will be determined to topple the Brits and claim the title which was won by Northern Irishman Jonathan Rea in 2015.

There will be a World Superbike race on Saturday and on Sunday, in a change to the format for this year, so be sure to make a weekend of it! Further racing action will come from the World Supersport and Superstock 1000 championships, while races from the Ducati TriOptions Cup, European Junior Cup and the National Superstock 600 & 1000 means there will be more races than in recent years.

Early indications are that the Brits will be on top again, with reigining champion Jonathan Rea winning both races at the season opener in Australia, but Michael van der Mark and Davide Giugliano ran him close. It promises to be an ultra exciting round at Donington Park.

What's On has teamed up with the organisers of the Superbike World Championship to offer you a chance to win a pair of tickets to the event on Sunday 29 May.
