On Saturday 28 January, quiz-goers will descend on Warwick Hall at Warwick School in an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the highest number of participants of a sports quiz. It's hoped that over 500 people will join in with the quiz, the proceeds of which will be donated to charity, split between Myton Hospice and Jack's Rainbow.

Familiar sporting faces will be making video appearances, with Kriss Akabusi, Phil Tufnell, David Branham and Nick Skelton among those who have recorded questions for a special round.

Entry costs £60 for a team of six, and a chance to win some fantastic prizes, both in the quiz itself and in the raffle and auction that will be held on the night. Items up for grabs include a signed Manchester United football, a British Lions shirt signed by Johnny Wilkinson, Warwickshire cricket shirts signed by Ian Bell and Jonathan Trott, a selection of signed Megan Giglia merchandise, free meals at Cox's Yard and at the Hilton in Warwick, golf at the Belfry and the Warwickshire, and vouchers for Warwick Races, Go Ape and Frisbee Golf.

But the opportunities to win don't end there – in advance of the event itself, those entering before midnight on the Twelfth Day of Christmas (Friday 6 January), will also be entered into a prize draw, with the lucky winner receiving a one-night bed and breakfast stay for two at the Hilton in St George's Park. The winning team will be drawn at random and the prize will go to the person who registered.

Places can be reserved by calling the Bridge House Theatre Box office on 01926 776438, or online at bridgehousetheatre.co.uk/portfolio_page/largest-sports-quiz. For more information about the event, visit deslovessport.co.uk/events/quiz2017 or email desreynolds@deslovessport.co.uk.
