Break dancers, poppers and hip-hop enthusiasts entertain Birmingham audiences this month as they demonstrate their best moves and routines in the nineteenth annual B-Boy Championships World Finals. The 2014 event, which comes to the city in partnership with International Dance Festival Birmingham, features participants going head-to-head to win the coveted world titles. An Open International Qualification tournament on the Saturday offers crews and solo dancers a last chance to compete for the remaining spots.

The main event on the Sunday, meanwhile, sees ‘the best of the best’ vying for top spot in each of the four World Title categories. New York hip-hop duo Dead Prez headline the day’s proceedings, giving their only UK performance. A series of workshops, facilitated by some of the world’s top dancers, takes place at DanceXchange in the Southside area of the city throughout the weekend.
