Now in its second year, the BBC Music Awards will be hosted by Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton and will take place in front of a live audience at Birmingham’s Genting Arena as well as being broadcast to millions across the country on BBC One, Radio 1, Radio 2 and at bbc.co.uk/music.

In a star-studded evening celebrating of an amazing year in music, the event will be jammed with spectacular performances from some of the biggest names in the business and hot new talent alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra. The internationally recognised names taking the stage during the evening will be: Ellie Goulding, Faithless, Hozier, James Bay, Jess Glynne, Little Mix, OMI, One Direction, Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, Rod Stewart and The Shires, Jack Garratt, Years & Years and Stereophonics.

The BBC Music Awards will feature five awards in total: British Artist of the Year and International Artist of the Year as decided by the BBC Music panel, Song of the Year voted for by members of the public, and a special award for a BBC Introducing artist. This year there is a new award – BBC Live Performance of the Year – which will be given to the band or artist who has delivered THE stand out BBC Music live moment of 2015, also voted by the BBC Music panel.

T&Cs: Age restrictions: Children aged 14 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above. Children under the age of 14 are not permitted in the standing area of the venue and those young people aged 15 & 16 should only enter the standing floor when accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.

The BBC Music Awards takes place on Thursday 10 December at Genting Arena, Birmingham.
