Meanwhile over at the Fashion & Embroidery section, visitors will be able to enjoy never before seen features and the pick of industry experts. The ever-popular catwalk shows and National Embroidery competition results also feature.
Visitors to the show will also have the opportunity to view The Red Dress; an award-winning global collaborative embroidery project that was created over the span of 14 years. The Red Dress is known in the embroidery world as a voice for different cultures to express themselves creatively and has been embroidered by 367 women and girls, 11 men and boys, and 2 non-binary artists from 51 countries across the world.
Those who have contributed to the dress were encouraged to create work that expressed their personal identities. Some used styles of embroidery that have been practiced for hundreds of years from their family’s previous generations, while others chose simple stiches that convey past events in their lives.
