Get ready for a toe-tapping day of dance on the Severn Valley Railway, with Morris Dancing groups to performing at stations along the line.
The following Morris dancing sides will appear:
Nancy Butterfly Morris Dancers (NBMD), North West Morris style with clogs.
Shrewsbury Morris (SM), performing traditional and contemporary dances in the traditional style.
Ironmen and Severn Gilders (ISG), the Severn Gilders are a women’s team who dance North West Morris, and the Ironmen a men’s team dancing Welsh Border.
Pennyroyal Garland Dancers (PGD), folk dancers based in north-west Leicestershire, currently performing two main styles of dance; garland and clog.
Castle Clog (CC), based in Stourbridge, the group perform step clog dancing, a traditional form of dance. It is like tap dancing. The dance is done in wooden soled clogs to traditional music.
