Music legends, celebrity chefs and stars of stage and screen come together for a fantastic fundraising auction for Acorns Children’s Hospice that will run on the charity’s website throughout March – offering an unmissable opportunity to bid for one-of-a-kind memorabilia and VIP experiences.
The glittering catalogue of around 60 lots includes signed music, film and sports memorabilia as well as VIP theatre, culinary, spa and leisure stays.
Expected to create a stir among music fans are two signed albums of Dark Side of the Moon by drummer Nick Mason.
Steven Knight, award-winning writer, creator, director and Patron of Acorns Children’s Hospice, has donated nine exquisitely tailored Peaky Blinders suits and caps made by Garrison Tailors. And there are signed photographs by the stars of the global hit series, Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy. Birmingham Hippodrome in conjunction with Rambert Dance Company have donated a pair of tickets to the Press Night of Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby, which returns to Birmingham in June after its original sellout tour. And with your tickets, you’ll receive a package of themed merchandise from the show.
Actor and writer Steve Coogan and the cast of the hit National Theatre show, Dr Strangelove, have signed a limited-edition framed print which will come with NT Live tickets to catch the show on its cinematic release. Also going under the hammer are signed boxing gloves donated by boxing legend, Chris Eubank, following his recent visit to Acorns.
Birmingham Royal Ballet, regular supporters of Acorns, have added a seasonal sparkle with four tickets to the first night of The Nutcracker, together with a pair of signed pointe shoes by principal dancer, Celine Gittens. And Sir Matthew Bourne is donating a pair of first-night tickets to his new show, The Midnight Bell at Leicester Curve Theatre, along with a signed poster.
