Big Mamma confirms La Bellezza will open in Paradise, Chamberlain Square on 29 November.
La Bellezza will offer 100% homemade Italian dishes and incredible prodotti sourced directly from their 170 Italian artisans, such as juicy Puglian burrata from Salvatore Montrone, and 22-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano DOP from Paolo Gennari. Filled with warmth and generosity, this 150-cover trattoria will be set in abundant dramatic scenery to live up to its namesake, complete with a whimsical 25-cover terrace.
Look up at the handmade Murano glass chandeliers dotted through the tumbling ivy, or peruse the 6m wide bookcase filled with vintage novellas and saucy fiction. After craning your neck, saunter across a checkerboard of white and green Italian marble to the emerald bar to sample pillowy-soft Neapolitan pizza, topped with Salvatore Corsone’s Mozzarella di Bufala, or sip on a XXL cocktail creation, such as a blend of sweet white peach liqueur, rum and fresh grapefruit.
The menu also includes homemade linguine, spaghetti, ravioli, pici and mafaldine. Tossed in the richest sauces, such as spiced Cornish lamb, slow-cooked in a San Marzano tomatoes DOP ragù, or creamy truffle mascarpone, with shavings of fresh black Umbrian truffle. All best indulged with a bottle (or two) of fine organic Italian wine. Take your pick from over 40 varieties, from crisp Vermentino to the richest Barolos. Of course, the show is not complete without the classic carbonara so naturally the much-loved restaurant group will be rolling their 8kg pecorino wheels into the city.
La Bellezza will open at Paradise, 2 Chamberlain Square, on 29 November 2024.
