Members of the public can join The Alexandra Theatre for an epic night of free comedy, as they invite people to be in the TV audience for BBC One’s nationwide search to find the best new comedy talent 2024.

Since they first launched in 1995 the prestigious awards have helped launch the careers of many of the UK’s best-love comedians – John Bishop, Sarah Millican, Peter Kay, Jason Manford, Joe Lycett, Tom Allen & Dan Tiernan to name a few.

On Wednesday 30 October, watch six cutting-edge comics battle it out to win over the judges and be crowned the BBC New Comedian 2024.
