Pantomime will be back at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall this Christmas and delivered by a new production company.

TaleGate Theatre Productions Ltd recently won the contract to produce the pantomime in conjunction with Sutton Coldfield Town Hall and this year will be bringing you the panto you’ve all bean waiting for, Jack and the Beanstalk.

TaleGate Theatre Productions Ltd are professional theatre producers with a wealth of experience in children’s and family theatre, especially pantomime; including shows produced in the West End. Following an extensive selection process, TaleGate’s pitch proved they will be the creative force to take the Town Hall’s pantomime to the next level.

The royal town of Suttonia is in danger. The Giant Blunderbore wants to destroy the green belt to build a nuclear power plant. Meanwhile, times are tough for Trott’s dairies and they have to sell their favourite cow, Daisy, at the Vintage Fair. When all seems lost, a beanstalk grows in Sutton Park! Follow Jack and his daft Mum, Dame Trott, as they climb the beanstalk, defeat the giant and save their best friend, Daisy the Cow. Packed with songs, slapstick, silliness, audience participation, and all the fairytale magic of traditional pantomime.

The pantomime will see fun for all the family, young and… not so young. Keep your eyes peeled also for details of auditions later in the year for local young performers to be part of the junior ensemble for the show.

Jack and the Beanstalk runs from Saturday 9 - Sunday 31 December, including a selection of weekday daytime shows for schools audiences. Tickets go on sale at midday on Friday 7 April, with an early bird offer providing 10% off all tickets when booked before the end of June. To book, visit: suttoncoldfieldtownhall.com
