Shrewsbury Flower Show have announced that Liberty X will headline the Friday evening of this year's event.
Organisers have also revealed that ABBA tribute Watch That Scene will take to the main stage on the Friday to perform a medley of the Swedish super troupers’ greatest hits.
Originally comprising Michelle Heaton, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm, Jessica Taylor and Kelli Young, Liberty X formed in 2001. All former contestants of the popular ITV talent show, Popstars, their debut album, Thinking It Over, which featured number one single Just A Little, stormed the UK charts, selling one million copies around the world and peaking at number three.
The band, who now perform as a girls trio, will be bringing their nostalgic sound of the noughties to The Quarry on Friday 11 August.
Also announced is Birmingham-based gardening enthusiast Adam Kirtland, who will be bringing his View From The Potting Bench podcast to this year’s show. Describing himself as someone who ‘eats, sleeps and breathes plants’, Adam will share his passion for all things gardening to audiences on both Friday and Saturday.
