LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham is on the hunt for a talented child to be crowned the UK’s second ever Mini Master Model Builder.

Young LEGO aficionados will have the chance to let their imaginations run wild in a bricktastic competition, building the most epic creation entirely out of LEGO bricks in an attempt to bag the coveted title.

Both LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham and Manchester will put forward their best builder, who will then go head-to-head in an intense final challenge, with Alec Posta, the Global Master Model Builder, crowning the champion.

The winner will receive £500 to spend in LEGOLAND Discovery Centre stores, alongside four Gold Merlin Annual Passes worth £956! Their final build will also be displayed in MINILAND until the end of the year, for guests to marvel at.

The runner-up won’t come away empty handed, as they will receive four local annual passes to their nearest LEGOLAND Discovery Centre.

If you think you know someone who has what it takes to be crowned the next Mini Master Model Builder, then simply visit LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham any weekend from 6th January until 4th February and head to the circus room, where budding builders under the age of 18 will be able to create an awesome sculpture to submit as their entry.

Harry Hill, Regional Mini Master Model Builder at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham said: “Last year’s competition was my first time at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and it was incredible – I was really in my element with the bricks everywhere.

“It was such an honour to be named the regional Mini Master Model Builder last year. I genuinely couldn’t believe that it happened to me, and seeing my build displayed in MINILAND was so surreal!

“Now, I can’t wait to help find the new Mini Master Model Builder and I see all of the incredible builds. For anyone entering, my biggest piece of advice is to have an initial build and then add your details later. Also, everyone loves minifigures so make sure you use them!”

Entry into the Mini Master Model Builder competition is included in the price of one standard admission ticket to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham. All entries must be made by children under the age of 18, and only one entry per person can be made.
