Birmingham-based charity, Millennium Point has launched its 2025 Scholarship programme and will be awarding a free degree to the lucky winner.

Continuing its ongoing mission to empower young people with opportunities in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) industries, Millennium Point is looking to award a fully funded degree at Birmingham City University’s Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment.

Students can choose from a wide range of courses in computing, digital technology, and engineering.

The Scholarship is funded by Millennium Point’s work as an award-winning events and business destination. Abbie Vlahakis, CEO of Millennium Point, said: “In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, it is essential that we support young people with opportunities to pursue STEM careers. The Millennium Point Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for a future STEM leader to start an incredible career journey that could help transform the world.”

The scholarship scheme is open to students living in the West Midlands Combined Authority area, who will be aged 18 or over in September 2025, and are looking to study one of the included courses at Birmingham City University.  Interested parties can find out more information and apply until Friday 7th March at millenniumpoint.org.uk.
