Birmingham street artist & curator Mohammed Ali is this month presenting a show that celebrates ‘the graft that is embedded in the city’s DNA’.

Featuring digital visuals underpinned by lush soundscapes created by vocalist Cleveland Watkiss, Grit And Soul - Soul City Arts (Bramall Music Building, Friday 8 December) includes contributions from storyteller & author Polarbear and spoken-word artist Ayan Aden.

Commenting on the show, Ali says: “Birmingham is no Paris, Tokyo or Milan; it is gritty but it has soul, and that’s how we like it...”
