Maneki Ramen has announced its new site on Ludgate Hill will open from Friday 2 May.
The new 2,000-square-foot Birmingham site will seat 70 guests upstairs, with an additional 40 seats downstairs planned later in the year. Food collection and delivery options will also be available, and the menu will feature Maneki’s signature classics and award-winning bowls, alongside exclusive new dishes created for Birmingham diners.
To celebrate the new opening, Maneki Ramen will be offering guests 50% off their meal (excluding drinks) on Friday 2, Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May. Guests can secure their table here.
On the menu, guests will be able to enjoy some their most popular dishes including Tebasaki Wings with Ginger and Furikake, Roast Duck Ramen with Sesame Bean Sprouts and Pak Choi, Katsu Curry with Sushi Rice and a choice of protein, and Sesame Miso Shoyu with Charred Sweetcorn and Nori.
A carefully curated drinks menu will include Suntory Haku Vodka, natural wines, and cocktails such as the popular ‘East & West’—a refreshing mix of Gin, Yuzu, Hibiscus, Lime, and Orange—perfect for pre-dinner drinks or post-dining catch-ups.
Since 2020, Maneki—part of the ART Hospitality group—has been serving up authentic Japanese fare, earning the title of Japanese Restaurant of the Year 2023 at the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards.
The new venue will create 20 local jobs, with the kitchen led by Head Chef Pete Dovaston. After living in Tokyo, New York, and China, Pete brings his expertise in traditional Japanese cooking techniques to Maneki’s menu, using locally sourced ingredients to keep dishes fresh and seasonal.
