Self-proclaimed singer songwriter and one-man band, Offal Club, will be joined by punk-pop five piece, Billy Whizz, for a gig at Birmingham's Hare & Hounds on Sunday 10 April.
Hailing from Kings Heath, Offal Club serves up amusing, confusing, sometimes absurd punky indie-pop over home-cooked rhythm tracks, seasoned with a hint of melancholy.
It’s safe to say he’s been around the block a bit but there’s a massive dose of fun involved in his music. Bitter-sweet love songs with quirky lyrics are often the order of the day.
He is heavily influenced by Brummy greats like ELO, Ska legends like The Specials and The Beat and Reggae sounds from UB40, 1980s electronica and the likes of The Beatles and The Monkees.
The gig is an 'unmissable' double bill of entertaining pop-punk, alternative, and indie as the rivals battle for supremacy. Expect band member swaps throughout the night as the lines between support and main act become blurred. Could this be the birth of a supergroup?
