The Alexandra, Birmingham, purveyors of fine entertainment, invite audiences to enjoy an exciting array of comedians, stars of stage, screen and pitch, drag queens and musicians that will be with the theatre for one night only during the summer of 2022.

On Wednesday 8 June, RuPaul’s Drag Race winner and recently-announced All Stars contestant Jinkx Monsoon and musical prodigy Major Scales return with their most outrageous, salacious and sacrilegious show yet: Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales - together Again, Again! It’s the year 2065, Jinkx and Major have somehow survived… Jinkx is drinking. Major is balding. The world is collapsing. And reptiles rule the planet. In other words: not much has changed. After a forty-five year hiatus, they’re still standing, and so are their grudges.

Race Chaser Live will arrive on Friday 8 July and includes musical numbers, a bit of eye candy, and some high-quality drag! Starring Alaska and Willam. the same amazing chemistry from their award-winning podcast breaks out of the recording studio and hits the theatrical stage for an evening of unforgettable entertainment. On Friday 10 June, Al Murray’s Gig for Victory visits Birmingham. Steeped in the deep and ancient barroom wisdom of countless lock ins, the Pub Landlord is there to provide answers to men and women of this great country. Al, the people’s man of the people, will be offering people thirsty for common sense a full pint of the good stuff.

Chris Ramsey, the critically acclaimed comedian and award-winning podcaster, visits The Alexandra on Sunday 1 May with his biggest stand-up tour yet; tickets are now no longer available for his high energy, life affirming, trademark stand-up. The inimitable Harry Hill will return to stand up later in the year to amuse and delight audiences with his unique brand of humour.

The Guilty Feminist: Live is less of a podcast and more of a global phenomenon with over 95million downloads and a world-wide tour. Deborah Frances-White hosts an array of world-class guests to discuss 21st century feminism and how you don’t have to be perfect to be a force for meaningful change. Phoebe Waller-Bridge called this show ‘screamingly funny’ and it will be at The Alexandra on Friday 27 May with special guests Catherine Bohart (Mock the Week), Alison Spittle, Celya AB and Jessie Robinson.

The Good, the Bad and the Rugby is the world’s most popular rugby podcast. England heroes Mike Tindall and James Haskell will be joined by Sky Sports’ Alex Payne, Harlequin’s Chris Ashton and ‘Raging Bull’ Phil Vickery to share trademark banter and tales from on and off the pitch on Monday 23 May.

Following the day after, talkSport Live on Stage brings British radio’s hilarious double act Alan Brazil and Ray Parlour live on stage to recount tales from their playing days, the dressing rooms, to more recent escapades from the talkSport studio… and of course Cheltenham! Join Craig as he talks about his life from Australia to the West End to Strictly. Revealing a wealth of backstage gossip with his trademark wit and candour, he will also perform some of the music that has been the soundtrack to his career. One Night at the V.E. Day Proms is the ultimate musical celebration in honour of the 75th Anniversary of V.E. Day on Sunday 15 May. This incredible concert takes you on a musical journey through World War II, providing an insight into how music played a pivotal role throughout the most extraordinary period in modern day history.
