The countdown is on to The Music Seekers – Adventures in Birmingham, taking place on Sunday 6 April at Stirchley Baths.

Designed for people with learning disabilities and / or autism, in person tickets have sold out buy Misfits Music Foundation are offering Live Stream tickets allowing audiences to stream the concert from home.

The Music Seekers will feature a 50-piece orchestra including musicians from Moseley Misfits and The B30 ensemble, along with Jim and Megan – the music seekers – the audience will go on a musical adventure exploring some of Birmingham’s coolest places through music with lots of singing, dancing, games and other fun surprises!

Through the performance expect to go on a imaginary musical journey to some of the accessible attractions and locations in Birmingham such as: Tyseley Loco Works – expect music themed around steam trains which are produced and maintained in the city including music inspired by a cheeky little blue engine; Edgbaston Reservoir - a popular place to walk, look at nature and go on boat rides, explore music around the different boats on the water; The Aquarium – a popular attraction to visit, especially on a quiet day, the perfect inspiration for music around fish and sea life; Bournville – home to the famous Cadbury Factory listen to the most famous pieces of chocolate themed music; and Broad Street – famous as the place to go to dance, learn some famous dances and sing some famous disco hits.

Through this concert Misfits Music Foundation hopes to signpost attendees to their weekly Dabble & Scratch music group for ages 16 – 100 aimed at people with learning disabilities and / or autism who are looking for a creative, fun, music group to be part of.
