Built in 1590 by Richard Smalbroke, Blakesley Hall is situated just away from the avenues of modern houses which surround it, in small gated grounds. The Hall is furnished with an inventory of seventeenth century furniture which reflects the life style of a wealthy family of the late Tudor period. The Hall is also home to a traditional herb garden and orchard which attracts various species of birds and butterflies.
