The O2 Academy - previously known as the Hummingbird, the Birmingham Academy and the Carling Academy - is located on the site of the former Dome nightclub. The venue moved to the Bristol Street location in 2009, with Editors headlining an opening night that also featured sets from The Twang, The Streets and Ocean Colour Scene.
