Dating back to the 1300s, Selly Manor was originally refered to as Bournbrook's Manor house - home to the local tax collectors. In 1907, local chocolate maker George Cadbury saved the mansion, and had it carefully dismantled and rebuilt on Bourneville Green, one mile from it's orginal location. Complete in 1916 the building has been a museum ever since, now offering educational trips, workshops and events.
