Six by Nico, the innovative dining experience with a rotating menu every six weeks, has revealed its upcoming culinary offering for its debut Birmingham restaurant, set to open on 30 November.
Drawing inspiration from the British classic, 'The Chippie' menu is priced at £39 and boasts elevated renditions of popular dishes. Expect delights such as chips and cheese, featuring parmesan espuma, curry oil, and emulsion, a crisp potato terrine; scampi infused with brandade, dill emulsion, gribiche, peas, and beurre blanc; a 24-hour beef shin steak pie complemented by burnt onion ketchup, mushroom duxelle, and a flavorful 'meaty salsa.'
The journey continues with fish supper, smoked sausage, and concludes with Scotland's renowned Deep Fried Mars Bar, accompanied by a chocolate pave and Irn Bru sorbet. A vegetarian alternative menu is also available, featuring cauliflower beignet, root vegetable pie, and halloumi, all priced at £30 per person. Guests looking to enhance their dining experience can opt for expertly paired wines from the second to the sixth course.
The Chippie menu was Six by Nico's inaugural offering at their original location in Finnieston, Glasgow, back in 2017. Over the span of six years, the culinary team has meticulously honed and refined 'The Chippie' experience, embarking on a nostalgic and playful gastronomic journey along the way.
