Franco-Flemish composer Guillaume Du Fay was the dominant figure in European music during the second half of the 15th century, so it’s hardly surprising that his notable anniversaries are seen as suitable occasions to acknowledge.
This year is the 550th anniversary of his death, a landmark which is here being commemorated by the always-value-for-money Binchois Consort. The all-male ensemble are joined for the concert by slide-trumpet star Jamie Savan.
