A free St. George's Day event is coming to Telford Town Park from Saturday 26 April.

Taking place from 11am - 4pm, the family-friendly event will be packed with displays, activities and entertainment.

Watch the Knights Of Nottingham Jousting and their jousting display, the majestic birds of prey displays from CJ's Birds of Prey, traditional wood carving and fun ferret racing.

There will also be have-a-go activities such as archery and axe throwing with Tern Valley District Scouts, Boardroom Gaming Cafe games, make something new from recycled materials with Scrappies and crafts with The Creation Station Shrewsbury and Telford.

Enjoy a wander around the Made in Telford marquee, learn about bees with Alison's Bee Class, and meet the donkeys from Emma’s donkeys Llanidloes.

In the lead up to VE Day 80 celebrations taking place in May there will also be an opportunity to join in with some dancing from the 1940s era as well as share family memories of the celebrations that took place on VE Day 1945 in the Borough.
