Giggling Squid has announced its nationwide search for Squidlet Critics, young foodies who will get the unique chance to critique the new kids’ menu and give their feedback to the Thai restaurant.
This May half-term, little ones with a love for food can be nominated by their parents to become a Squidlet Critic. At the tasting, the little critics will take a tour of the kitchen, meet a Giggling Squid chef to learn about the ingredients used in the dishes before sitting down to offer their critique of the meal with a child friendly feedback form.
The search comes after research by Giggling Squid revealed the tastebuds of UK kids are more refined than they get credit for and revealed that children are ditching the plates of beige for more exotic flavours with almost half (47%) of children saying stir fry is amongst their most liked dishes, over half of UK little ones able to identify tofu (55%), and half (50%) of children choosing a spring roll at snack time.
The all-new kids’ menu is bursting with Thai flavours, from mouth-watering dishes such as Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce (£1.99), Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken or Prawns (£7.99) and Pad Thai Noodles (£7.99) - so forget about chicken nuggets and pizza, kids get to enjoy the same authentic Thai tastes as their parents at Giggling Squid.
Parents can apply on behalf of their little one by sharing in 100 words or less why they believe their child would make an excellent Squidlet Critic and send it to gigglingsquid@stripecommunications.com.
