A second and consecutive night of comedy has been announced at a new venue as part of the 2025 Shrewsbury International Comedy Festival.
Taking place on Thursday 10 July, Mrs Smith will follow the previous night’s acts of Mick Miller and Nina Gilligan at St Mary’s Church in Shrewsbury town centre.
Mrs Smith was a British primary school teacher who went viral on social media and as a result accidentally became a stand-up comedian. Her wit and insights into daily school life, politics, socks, swearing, the side effects of a full moon and more, inspired her routine. The show’s content is a must-see for both educators and the general public, offering a genuine but hilarious glimpse into the world of teaching. With over 80,000 followers on Facebook alone, she's winning hearts with her humorous stories and relatable takes on the challenges presented by the profession.
In 2023, she made her stand-up comedy debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Mrs Smith - See Me! Her first performance was a hit, so she has been touring it ever since.
Tickets for the Mrs Smith Live at St Mary’s Too show on 10 July are £19.50 and available here.
