A new women's health programme has launched in Shropshire.

The programme, called Empower Her, spearheaded by Jenna Blair and Hattie Thorpe-Gunner, has been made possible thanks to the support of locals, together with Shropshire Council, who donated to the crowdfunding campaign, set up by Jenna and Hattie.

The launch event, which took place at Jenna Blair Yoga Wellbeing Centre in Belle Vue in Shrewsbury on Friday 25 April, featured talks and discussions from Dr Melanie Thompson, Angela Laughlin, Natalie Jackson, Hattie Thorpe-Gunner and Jenna Blair, all of whom work in Shropshire to support women's health.

The crowdfunder, which raised nearly £6,000, will see the creation of a women’s health resource in Shropshire, offering information, education and holistic support for women, from puberty to menopause. The programme will offer free and reduced-cost supportive yoga classes, workshops and holistic therapies for women to help find paths to better physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.

Free and reduced cost classes and workshops are now bookable via Jenna Blair Yoga, and offerings will continue to be added as the programme is developed. The programme is specifically aimed for those who may otherwise struggle to be able to access or afford this type of activity: jennablairyoga.co.uk/empower-her
