In a celebration of music and beer, the historic Three Tuns Brewery is sponsoring a new Shropshire-based musical this week at Shrewsbury’s Theatre Severn.

Written by Tim Baker, MANBand is the journey of a quartet of older men, who find themselves forming a band to perform at a pub’s charity night. The feel-good show celebrates pub culture, when a quiet evening in the local pub turns into the start of something big...

The pub regulars are all on friendly nodding terms, until one of them happens to sit in the wrong chair, and for once they talk to each other about their dreams. The limelight may have passed them by, but is it really too late for fame and fortune? The musical’s frustrated heroes are a little too old to form a boy band, but what about a Man Band?

As the exclusive brewery sponsor for the new musical, Three Tuns Brewery have created a cask special that will be available in a number of local pubs (including The Wheatsheaf Frankwell) to mark the occasion and join in with the festivities.
