Shrewsbury is going ‘art crazy’ this summer, with around 590 regional artists participating in 16 exhibitions, eight workshops and five events in venues across the town.

Highlights include a bronze sculpture trail featuring works by Salvador Dali and a special exhibition at the town's museum & art gallery.

An open exhibition on the theme of Movement in honour of John Weaver - the father of British ballet and pantomime - will be displayed at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery. Salvador Dali sculptures, kindly loaned by Clarendon Fine Art will also be on display. These include the impressive  Homage to Terpsichore and the instantly recognisable Nobility of Time, © The Dalí Universe AlP S.L.

The gallery's Summer Special Exhibition also includes works by internationally recognised artists, including LS Lowry, Andrew Logan, Fabian Perez, Sherree Valentine Daines, Jacob Chandler, JPR Stitch, Banksy, Damien Hirst, Micheal James Talbot, Halima Cassel MBE, Ian Rayer Smith, Man Ray, John Swannell and more...

A Museum Late featuring DJ, entertainment and licenced bar will take place in July, whilst an accompanying programme of workshops, courses and trails will also feature over the summer months.
