Forty-minute sessions spent climbing, jumping and bouncing at Alderford’s inflatable playground on the lake is a fun way to keep kids entertained during the summer holiday. 

Suitable for children aged six-plus, the aqua park features five inflatables, accommodates 15 people at any given time and is manned by a lifeguard. If inflatables aren’t your thing but you still want to take to the water, the venue hires out paddleboards and canoes. Alternatively, you can take along your own. Wild swimming is also permitted on the lake. 

There’s much more to Alderford too, including the Maize Maze, featuring 12 areas of retro games, and a cafe (currently takeaway only). Market days and an outdoor production of The Wind In The Willows on 7 August further add to the venue’s summertime appeal.
