Pengwern Boat Club, founded in 1871, is located in Shrewsbury Town Centre, Shropshire.  Offering a range of rowing lessons and clubs to join for all ages and abilities, the Pengwern Boat Club also organise the Shrewsbury Regatta.  This is held over two days on the second weekend in May, each day attracting more than two-hundred entries to one-thousand-metre and six-hundred-metre courses on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The regatta is particularly spectator-friendly with unrestricted views of the last 600 metres from the clubhouse balcony.
