Whitchurch Civic Centre re-opened in May 2014 after undergoing extensive refurbishment to create a new service hub, bringing together Shropshire Council Customer Services and Tourism, which relocated from the Heritage Centre to the new hub, which also includes a theatre that seats up to 400. 

The Civic Centre hosts a variety of activities and classes on a weekly basis from Slimming World and Weight Watchers to Yoga, dance classes and dog handling.  The venue is also home to the town's weekly Friday Market and charity coffee morning.
