The Tamworth Pantomime Company are back.
Tamworth’s biggest ever pantomime comes to the Assembly Rooms in January – oh yes it does!
Cinderella runs for a record-breaking 25 performances and promises magical surprises never seen before in a Tamworth Panto.
Writer and director Sam Beech said: “This really is the Fairy Godmother of all pantomimes and I’m so excited for Tamworth to see our production of Cinderella in January.
“The cast is absolutely fantastic, featuring a mixture of well-known faces and brand new talent, and there are plenty of surprises along the way.”
Cinderella runs from 4 to 19 January and stars some of Tamworth’s favourite pantomime performers. The wickedly funny Alex Farrell is back as the Dame, playing Wicked Sister Bertie alongside the hilarious Jack Gamble, who is performing in his first Tamworth Panto as the other Wicked Sister, Gertie.
Olivia-Joy Shepherd returns to the Tamworth stage to play the evil Baroness Hardup, partnered with Radio Tamworth’s Marcello, who plays Baron Hardup.
Lauren Margaret is back for her third year as Tamworth’s favourite fairy, hoping to cast her spell once again over audiences as the magical Fairy Godmother. Talented young Jack Ryan is stepping into the main role of Prince Charming alongside Ricardo Alexander as his comedy sidekick Dandini.
This year the Tamworth Panto welcomes the incredible Malaika Martin to her first show with the company, playing the star of the show - Cinderella.
Sam Beech is of course back in the leading comedy role as Buttons. Sam added: “This year’s Tamworth Panto is bigger and better than ever before; you’ll get the usual mix of comedy, singing, dancing and local references that you’d expect from one of our shows, and some surprises that we’re so excited for you to find out about – it really is fun for all the family!”
