This Valentine’s Day, Toffs By Rob Palmer is offering a £135 per head seven-course menu, including two glasses of Nyetimber per person.
Turbot, lobster, beef, oyster, chocolate and rhubarb all feature on the menu.
Land
If you follow a plant-based diet (or even if you don’t), then a visit to Land is a must!
Located in the city’s Great Western Arcade and combining vegan recipes (boasting fresh, seasonal ingredients) with a fine-dining polish, the modern, plant-focused, casual-dining restaurant has previously received a glowing review from renowned food critic Jay Rayner.
On Tuesday 14 February only, Land will be serving an extra-special six-course meal, priced at £50pp.
Orelle
Fine food, cocktails and live music - surely a perfect combination for couples wanting a romantic evening out this Valentine’s Day.
Diners can enjoy either three courses (£100 per person) or four courses (£125pp) from Orelle’s exclusive menu, created by acclaimed Executive Chef Chris Emery.
Dishes include truffled chicken ballotine, chicken fat potato, chanterelles, pickled mustard or roasted sea bass, shellfish ragout and seaweed butter.
Grace & Savour
With Grace & Savour having just been named the UK’s best restaurant in the SquareMeal Awards 2023, we absolutely had to include it in our recommendations.
Located at Hampton Manor, a country estate designed for food lovers, the eatery has won numerous awards - including four AA Rosettes - since opening last year.
Celebrating a sustainable revolution in farming, its 15-course menu costs £135 per person. Rooms are available at an extra cost.

The ‘Italian neighbourhood restaurant’ is fast becoming one of Birmingham’s most popular dining-out options and recently featured in the Michelin and Good Food guides.
The menu, made up of small plates designed to share, includes snacks, fresh pastas, seafood and regional specialities reflecting fresh produce, from day-boat fish to venison.
Carters of Moseley
Fancy a splurge? Michelin-starred restaurant Carters of Moseley will be opening exclusively on 14 February, offering a luxe menu of seven servings (including the best of the current season) priced at £165 per person.
Run by chef Brad Carter and his partner, Holly, Carters is ‘inspired by the producers who work the land’. One of the city’s most celebrated restaurants, its menu has recently featured caviar ‘bumps’, razor clams, Cornish monkfish, cuttlefish and red deer.
Hencote
Boasting panoramic views across the Shropshire Hills, Hencote provides a truly unique dining experience.
Its Valentine’s Day offering includes a bespoke five-course menu (featuring canapés and petit fours), Valentine’s decor and roses on tables, and entertainment from burlesque dancer Cherry from Doe Demure.
The event is priced at £62 per person and includes an on-arrival glass of Hencote’s Evolution sparkling wine.
The Clock Tower
Located at Netley Hall, in the heart of the Shropshire countryside, The Clock Tower takes inspiration from the Roaring ’20s, boasting lavishly decorated interiors that include unique Waterford crystal chandeliers, exquisite tapestries and a stunning stained-glass ceiling.
Described as ‘a dining experience’ rather than just a restaurant, The Clock Tower is offering Valentine’s Day dinners, singles parties and proposal packages.
Larder
Whether you’re looking to enjoy a mates’ date or a romantic evening this Valentine’s Day, trust us when we say that Larder is a fantastic option.
Its six-course tasting menu costs £80 per person and features: Tunworth scone & cherry jam; lobster ravioli; stuffed Morel mushroom; ‘all the lamb’ - rack of lamb, glazed belly, shoulder sausage roll, liver parfair and all the trimmings; lemon, white chocolate & yoghurt and apple tarte tatin & vanilla ice cream.
The Bilash
Established in 1982 and recommended by both Michelin and Hardens, family-run restaurant The Bilash boasts the best in Bangladeshi and Indian cooking.
The restaurant’s specially curated Valentine’s menu will be available on 10, 11 & 14 February, with three courses costing just £35 per person. Tantalising main-dish options include goan tiger prawn masala, lamb shank and macher malai (fresh Bengali flat fish in a Goan coconut sauce).
Three Horseshoes Country Inn & Spa
Dust off those dancing shoes for a special night of mystery and romance at the Three Horseshoes Country Inn, near Leek in Staffordshire.
The event, which takes place on Saturday 11 February and costs £47 per person, includes a three-course meal, live music and disco.
Dress code is black tie, so get your glam on and prepare to sparkle, shimmy and shine.

Bijou neighbourhood restaurant Black & Green (located in Barnt Green and run by the team behind Birmingham’s Craft and 8) made the Michelin Guide after being open for just 12 weeks.
Led by Andrew Sheridan (a contestant on Great British Menu), the venue offers seasonal tasting menus priced at £65 per person for seven courses and featuring imaginative dishes using prime ingredients.
