Following the sell-out success of the Burton Music Collective month of live music gigs in November 2023, East Staffordshire Borough Council will continue to support the rejuvenation of Burton upon Trent’s rich history of live music by hosting a brand new music festival in Burton Market Place this autumn.
Sonic Boom Festival, organised by Sonic Boom CIC, a group of likeminded music fans from Burton upon Trent and East Staffordshire Borough Council, will feature an exciting line up of local, regional and national artists on Saturday 14 September.
In additional to the Sonic Boom Festival, residents and visitors can also enjoy a range of fringe gigs at venues across the town, featuring a whole host of local bands and artists.
The first step of this new initiative will see a multi-venue celebration of live gigs take place in a host of locations across the town, kicked off with Riding The Low playing at The Brewhouse on Friday 3rd November.
Full festival details, along with the line-up will be announced on Wednesday 10 July. In the meantime, local artists or bands can apply to get involved in the fringe gigs, by visiting the Sonic Boom website.
