Stoke-on-Trent's The Potteries Centre is hosting its second free Comic Con event, on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October.

Following the huge success of its last Comic Con event in July, The Potteries Centre is bringing it back to Stoke bigger and better than ever, from 10am until 5pm on Saturday and 11am until 4pm on Sunday.

Throughout the weekend, the event will see a top-secret guest appearance, Star Wars props galore, Ezekiel’s real throne featured in the Walking Dead series, Monsters Inc door, Dobby and even more special surprises to be revealed on the day.

With fan favourite characters returning such as Mario, Sonic, Pikachu and Stormtroopers, this event will also see new additions such as the Death Eaters from Harry Potter, Billy the puppet from the Saw franchise, and many more. With an array of superheroes and movie characters roaming throughout the centre, regular meet and greet opportunities will be available throughout the free event.

The Comic Con event will also include its renowned stalls where visitors can buy must-have toys, collectables, action figures, art, retro games and tabletop games. Going bigger and better, there are even more traders available where attendees can find new and exciting offerings from independent speciality traders.

Steven Howard, Event Organiser, said: “This year’s Comic Con at the Potteries promises to be bigger that ever! We’re so excited to be back this October with another free event that’s even more impressive than the last. We had so much fun at the last event that we wanted to make it even more special by seeking out some of the biggest and best new additions to bring even more favourite characters and memorabilia to Stoke on Trent. We can’t wait to see you all there for this truly spectacular weekend.”

Amy Whittaker, Centre Manager at The Potteries Centre, adds: “It’s great to have Comic Con back at The Potteries Centre yet again. It was such a great atmosphere last time that we couldn’t resist hosting another event for our wonderful comic-fan visitors. This time we’ve also got some great retailer discounts and offers available from the likes of HMV, Jack & Jones, Game, Schuh and more. Don’t miss out!”
