Visitors of all ages are invited to take part in a new programme of free indoor and outdoor activities at the National Memorial Arboretum during February half term.

From indoor craft activities and interactive storytelling sessions to outdoor woodland trails and play areas, whatever the weather, families can enjoy a free day out at the Nation’s year-round place to Remember.

Families can get creative with animal-inspired arts and crafts, enjoy popular interactive storytelling of the brand-new children’s book Arbie and the Magical Lights, take on the Animals in Remembrance Outdoor Trail and discover the iconic Stick Man trail.

The Arboretum also features two outdoor play areas: the Children’s Sensory Play Garden located near the Remembrance Centre, and a second play area with a picnic spot by the Children’s Wood.

“After the success of our previous half-term events, we are excited to offer a new range of fun and educational activities for families this February,” says Rachel Smith, Head of Learning and Participation at the National Memorial Arboretum. “Whether your family loves creative activities, storytelling, or exploring the great outdoors, there’s something for everyone at the Arboretum this half term.”
