The Lichfield Garrick Theatre has today made the first cast announcement for it's 2022 pantomime, Snow White.

Lichfield legend, Sam Rabone, is back in a frock for his seventh year at the Garrick as he stars as Dame Nelly. He will also be directing the show for the fourth year running.

Sam said; “I'm so excited to be back at the Garrick, and for me, a first! It's my first Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and I can't wait. This show is going to be hilarious, from an evil Queen to a henchman so hench he's sporting a dodgy moustache - we've got something for everyone. I'll also be directing with my favourite team of people, choreography from the legendary Simon Barnum, and music from the super Andrew Hopkins. We are in for the biggest and best show Lichfield has seen in years! I can't wait, and I hope to see you all there! Watch out Dads – I’ll be back in a frock again!”

Joining Sam are two more familiar faces – Maria Conneely and George Akid. Eagle-eyed panto fans will recognise Maria from last year’s All New Adventures of Peter Pan, where she played Lizzie, and George was in the theatre's 2019 panto Cinderella, where he played one of the Ugly Sisters.

George said; “I am thrilled to be returning to the Garrick this year in one of my favourite places - Lichfield! I had such an awesome time in Cinderella back in 2019, and I can’t wait to be getting my moustache for Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. I had so much fun at the Ukraine fundraiser concert and it reminded me how much fun a Lichfield audience is to perform to. I can’t wait to see you all this Christmas!”

Further cast announcements will be coming soon.

Snow White opens on Thu 25th November and runs until Sat 31st December. Tickets are now available at lichfieldgarrick.com or from the Box Office on 01543 412121.
