Bookings for the Spitfire Simulator at Stoke's The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery are now live.
The simulator, commissioned and owned by Operation Spitfire, offers an authentic-feeling cockpit and is the next best thing to sitting in a real Spitfire.
The experience allows visitors to step into the cockpit of a Supermarine Spitfire and embark on a thrilling, interactive flight simulation, with realistic controls, stunning visuals, and an immersive environment, the simulator is a great way to engage with history in a hands-on and educational way.
There are two types of experience available to book, these include:
Pilot Training - A 30-minute 1:1 session with an instructor to guide you through basic flight controls, some manoeuvres, and our optional ‘Take-off Challenge!’. Recommended 16+ due to the technical nature of the experience.
Flight School - A 15-minute family-friendly session. Children can experience a Spitfire cockpit and have a go at the controls. Best suited to one or two children with accompanying adult.
On top of these bookable experiences, additional special events and simulator experiences are set to be announced.
