Music lovers are invited to a new live local music event at Tamworth Assembly Rooms this March.

‘The Stage’ is a new local music night showcasing some of the best emerging bands and artists of the Midlands. Honouring those who have graced the Assembly Rooms stage before, such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Wolfsbane.

Taking place on Saturday 29 March, the evening will feature a fantastic line-up of great local artists of various musical styles. It will be a celebration of the incredibly strong Tamworth music scene, and a great showcase of brilliant musical talent.

Bands include Martin Reynolds (pictured) and The Minor Detours, a Tamworth based band influenced by musical legends such as Neil Young and The Rolling Stones to create its own unique brand of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Alongside Martin’s live band The Minor Detours, they have performed at Nantwich Jazz, Blues and Music Festival, Worcester Music Festival, Villa Park and Tamworth’s commonwealth games closing ceremony.

They have also supported legendary acts such as Brian Downey of Thin Lizzy, Edgar Broughton of the Edgar Broughton band and Jim White.

Newer to the music night scene is MaMuzic, who will perform with their alternative dance act, that will bring an electronic vibe of funk and soul mixed with a disco flavour.

Tickets are priced at £10, with doors opening at 7.30pm. Book at tamworthassemblyrooms.co.uk, or pop in to the Tamworth Assembly Rooms to buy tickets from the box office, or call 01827 709618.
