The New Vic’s popular Tale Trail adventure returns this Christmas for 3-5 year olds and their families with a playful, sensory journey inspired by the world of The Three Musketeers.

Running for a limited time in the theatre’s Studio space from Wednesday 11 to Saturday 28 December, Tale Trail to The Three Musketeers will transport audiences to a magical world where different colours, sounds and textures fill the room. It provides a unique opportunity for little ones to dip their tiny toes into the theatre world in a relaxed and accessible environment.

In a small stable, we discover characters Bucket and Milord on a search to recover the Queen’s diamonds. Can you help them catch up with the Musketeers, find the diamonds along the way, and reunite the Queen with her lost jewels?

Tale Trail is a fully inclusive adventure where little ones can explore their sense of play and rummage through the dress up box to become whoever they want to be as they find their way through the action – the only limit is their imagination.

The cast of Tale Trail to The Three Musketeers will include Adi Roy Bhattacharya (Indigo Giant, Komola Collective; Lose The Path, Find Your Way, Cracking Slate) as Bucket and Laurie Coldwell (The Hound of the Baskervilles, Vienna’s English Theatre) as Milord.

Director of Tale Trail to The Three Musketeers, theNew Vic’s Education Theatre Practitioner Becky Salt, said: “This year’s Tale Trail to the Three Musketeers invites audiences to step into the shoes of a Musketeer and embark on an important mission full of journey and adventure.

With inclusivity at the heart of our production’s ambitions, we aim to provide a variety of sensory narratives that allows each and every audience member to feel and experience the story in their own way. This year, we’re excited to bring new opportunities to see how the world can magically change around us, whilst incorporating play, adventure and helping our characters along their way. Can you be a Musketeer?”

Tale Trail to The Three Musketeers will be performed in the Studio at the New Vic Theatre from Wednesday 11 - Saturday 28 December 2024.

Tickets are on sale now priced at £10 and are available to buy from the Box Office, by calling 01782 717962 or online at newvictheatre.org.uk.
