An award-winning restaurateur is breathing new life into one of Warwick’s oldest buildings with the success of Flamenco Spanish restaurant and cocktail bar.

An extensive refurbishment marks the latest chapter in the rich history of The Grade II Tudor House and former coaching inn in West Street.

Authentic and traditional Spanish cooking methods are used, specialising in tapas, paella cooked over flame and hot stone cooking (meat is cooked on a hot stone). It’s this cooking style that was the inspiration behind the restaurant’s new name which is a play on Flame’nCo.

Indeed, most of the ingredients including cheeses, hams, chorizos, olive oils come from Spain, along with locally sourced meats and fish from Cornwall.

Traditional Sunday roasts, burgers and a children’s menu are also available.

The new offering is complemented with an extensive collection of beers and wines plus a cocktail menu – including signature cocktails such as The Warwick - plus live music, showcasing local talent, on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

On Friday evenings the restaurant hosts a charity music quiz presented by The Mia Cats where guests are invited to Name That Tune and even join in with some percussion. Each month the event also raises money for a nominated local charity and is currently supporting Molly Olly’s Wishes. (www.mollyolly.co.uk)

And on Sundays Flamenco Factor offers a platform for young people to showcase their talents for spot prizes.
