Orchestra Play Day - Beethoven’s Ninth
“We love to uncover pieces of music that have lain untouched - waiting for us to breathe new life into them,” explain Spires Philharmonic Orchestra & Chorus, a community of ambitious musicmakers from Coventry. “We are acoustic adventurers, seeking out unheard gems and then programming them alongside classics we know and love, crafting concerts that are not only outstanding to listen to but that we love to perform too.”
Spires’ latest outing - their third annual Orchestra Play Day - sees them exploring the wonders of Beethoven's ninth symphony. The event culminates in a free informal performance of the work.
