A Louise Bourgeois inspired Textile Workshop

Inspired by Louise Bourgeois: Nature Study Compton Verney is hosting a textile workshop where you can learn how to make your own fabric web.

You’ll go on an exclusive tour of the exhibition where Curator Oli McCall will highlight Bouregois’ textile artwork. Then, you’ll learn the fundamentals and apply the art of English paper piecing to create a web-style textile artwork plus how to display your work.

All the fabric in this workshop has been responsibly sourced from second hand shops, workshop leader Catherine-Marie’s own collection and Yodomo, a London based initiative that collects textile remnants from mills, designers and shops and sells them back to the public
