Explore the early medieval craftsmanship of the old Cathedral, destroyed in the Coventry Blitz and step inside the New Cathedral featuring works by great artists of the 1950s & 60s including works by Graham Sutherland, Jacob Epstein & Elisabeth Frink.

Explore the Ruined Cathedral, destroyed in the Coventry Blitz during WW2, standing proudly alongside the magnificent ‘casket of jewels’ - the iconic ‘New’ Cathedral, featuring works by some of the greatest artists of the 1950s and 60s.
Transport yourself back to 1940's Coventry in the Blitz Museum (usually open every Saturday but do check the website for more information) or climb 180 steps for 360˚views of Coventry will our Tower Climb - subject to weather conditions and staffing.
To celebrate Heritage Open Days, visit the Cathedral during normal visiting hours for the new Routes Trail running until Sunday 15 September!
The trail invites visitors to explore the global story of the Cathedral in multi-dimensional ways, including: Acorns for Peace planted by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, a boulder from the Cretaceous age donated from Bethlehem and so much more.
