The magic of the festive season is upon us! The British Motor Museum has everything you need to help get into the holiday spirit! Get stuck into an exciting creative challenge in Santa’s Holiday Hangar, designing and building a new sleigh ready for Christmas Eve! Then, embark on a hunt around the Museum, searching for those crafty runaway elves. You’ll have to keep your eyes peeled; these tricksters know how to make themselves hard to find.
You can also kick back in the Learning Hub with some LEGO®, or build a card or a mosaic out of bricks. On Friday 20 and Saturday 21 December, Professor Pickle and Doctor Pumpkin have a fun Science Show to get you in the holiday mood; they’ll be looking into the science behind the season, with loads of exciting experiments, and a chance to join in, too! No matter how you want to bring out that festive feeling, there’s something to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.
All these activities are included in the price of admission, for a great value day out! Click the button below to book.
Friday 20 to Monday 23 December - until 3.30pm with last entry at 3.00pm.
How does Santa get to all those houses in just one night? It all comes down to his sleigh. Just like building a car, building Santa’s sleigh takes imagination, creativity and a designer’s eye. Have you got what it takes to create your own sleigh, fit for Santa to deliver all those presents?
Step into the Holiday Hangar and design and build a sleigh from a range of craft materials to take Santa around the world. Will you design a fast sleigh, to get the job done quicker, or a big sleigh, to carry the biggest presents? Don’t forget the heater - it gets cold up there! Once you’ve finished, you can take your design home to display with pride!
Friday 20 December (11am/1pm/4pm/5pm) & Saturday 21 December (11am/Noon/1pm/2pm)

There will be an accessible show on 20th December, with gentler experiments to allow those who need a quiet atmosphere to join in the fun.
No need to pre-book, just sign up at the Family Activity Station when you arrive.
